Mission

The National Association of Multicultural Engineering Program Advocates (NAMEPA) is a national network of educators and representatives from industry, government, and nonprofit organizations who share a commitment to continued improvement of the recruitment, retention and graduation of African-Americans, Latinos, and American Indians in engineering related fields.

NAMEPA's regional divisions are extensions of the national association. All members are eligible to receive the benefits of regional and national membership. Participation on the regional level allows members to exchange ideas and compare notes with colleagues, as well as participate in regional conferences, professional development offerings, and leadership opportunities at the local level.

Region E consists of members from the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Goals
  • To be recognized as the national expert in the development and production of a diverse pool of engineers and scientists.
  • To provide members with training and professional development opportunities.
  • To promote diversity through educational programs and modeling in all association activities.
  • To enhance the vitality of the organization by effectively serving the needs of its diverse membership.
