Message from the NAMEPA Region E Chair

Welcome to the NAMEPA Region E website, of the National Association of Multicultural Engineering Program Advocates, Inc., formerly the National Association of Minority Engineering Program Administrators. As one of five regions within the NAMEPA network, Region E, serving ten states, hosts one of the largest memberships of program directors and industry constituents. Although dominated by the programs within California, NAMEPA Region E welcomes active participation from its members and supporters in the other nine states. Region E welcomes also active involvement of community colleges, which are essential in our endeavor to diversify the engineering and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workforce. Perhaps our greatest potential is to serve as a partner with the engineering industry that hires the students nurtured and developed by NAMEPA program directors. We invite industry representatives to reach out to NAMEPA and utilize us in your efforts to diversify your workplace and maintain your technological strength, competitiveness and economic stability.  We welcome your involvement, participation and support and we pledge our willingness to share our expertise in moving students through the educational-to-career pipeline.

NAMEPA's mission is "To provide quality services, information, and tools for our stakeholders to produce a diverse pool of engineers and scientists, and achieve equity and parity in the nation's workforce." Our task is more compelling now than ever.

Sincerely,

Milton Randle, Chair
NAMEPA Region E
